My first ever design on a runway.

My sophomore spring semester I was to create a draped dress with a historical inspiration. Mount Mary has a historical garment collection of hundreds of garments. I based my inspiration off a dress from the 50s and decided to also incorporate my Mexican culture. I went with a off-the-shoulder bodice and a circle skirt. I used the bright colors used in the Mexican culture to give the dress a pop of color. Mexican culture is also known for their amazing bright colored flowers, and I wanted to incorporated that into my design as well.
